Same Folks is a song from Evidence (born December 10, 1976 in Los Angeles, California), an American hip hop artist, producer, and member of the rap group Dilated Peoples. I love this song and video, reminds me of walking in New York on the crowded streets. On every streetcorner there are rappers and producers who try to sell there music. If you ask them to rhyme they will not hesitate, thats there way to get 10 dollar for there album. Those rappers are real 'hustlers', not by doing criminal stuff like selling drugs, but by selling music.

The Weeknd is a Toronto-based singer named Abel Tesfaye.  His music is mellow Indy R&B that brings you to a dreamworld. The right music before bedtime.

Miguel is a R&B artist that really stands out from all the slick Bobby's and Treysongerz. Especially lyrically and music wise. In his performances you really see the influence of Prince and D'Angelo. I knew him from choruses from rap songs with Blu & Exile, Raekwon and Asther Roth. After I checked his stunning debut album 'All I want is you' and his mix-tape 'Misschief' he became definitely one of my top 10 modern R&B artists.

Cody Chesnutt is a Soul artist that people really have slept on, he is like a best kept secret. His closest brush with mainstream success was when The Roots remade a song from his album, "The Seed", for their album Phrenology.

If you have the opportunity to pick up his album the double LP entitled The Headphone Masterpiece, just do it! like Nike. The album was recorded on a 4-track cassette recorder in his bedroom recording studio. He recorded the whole album with only his Headphone, nowadays most Dutch kids have better recording devices in their baby room.

After almost 10 years still waiting for a real studio album of the man himself.
